My Piešťany – second camp – Day 2

Po New Yorku a Prahe má svoj blog s portrétmi a príbehmi ľudí aj naše mesto. Vytvárajú ho deti– účastníci letného kurzu My Piešťany jazykovej školy Skypers.

Naši študenti boli nadšení, keď si mohli pozrieť svoje práce zverejnené online na PNky. Dnes sa zdokonaľovali v používaní opytovacích zámen, editovaní fotografií, vrátanie tvorby koláží a pridávania špeciálnych efektov. Popoludní sme išli na železničnú stanicu hľadať zaujímavých ľudí na rozhovory a fotografovanie. Tu sú naše dnešné výsledky.

The students were excited to see their work from yesterday on pnky. Today we worked on using question words and some basic photo editing, including making collages and adding special effects. In the afternoon we went to the station area to find some interesting people to interview and photograph. Here are the results from today:

Adam

Tomáš sa narodil v Piešťanoch. Cestuje vlakom do Trnavy. Má osemnásť rokov. Má rodinu v Pieštanoch. Tomáš tu žije.

Tomáš was born in Pieštany. He is traveling to Trnava. He has got a family in Piešťany. He is eighteen years old. He lives in Pieštany.

Michael

Dnes som bol na vlakovej stanici v Piešťanoch. Stretol som Tomáša, študenta bývajúceho v Trstenej, na severnom Slovensku. Bol v Piešťanoch kvôli prestupu vlakov. Má veľa zvierat, napríklad psa, sliepky alebo zajace. Bol v Piešťanoch predtým, a páči sa mu to tu.

Today, I went to the train station in Piešťany . I met Tomáš, a student living in Trstená, in northern Slovakia. He was in Piešťany because he was changing trains. He has lots of animals, including a dog, chickens and rabbits. He has been to Piešťany before, and he likes it here.

Samuel

Je úžasné aké, množstvo ľudí v Piešťanoch má bicykel. Niektorí ľudia vlastnia aj dva alebo tri. Nechcem povedať, že je to zlé, ale že je to dobré, pretože bicyklovanie je šport a sám mám dva bicykle.

It’s amazing how many people in Piestany have bicycles. Some people have two or three bicycles. I don’t want to say this is bad but I want to say that it’s good because cycling is a sport, and I have two bicycles.

Tim

Toto je Katarína. Má 24 rokov a stretol som ju na autobusovej stanici v Piešťanoch. Cestovala do Dechtíc. Katarína má aj jedného psa.

This is Katarina. Katarina is 24 and I met her at the bus station in Piestany. She was going to Dechtice. Katarina has one dog.

Peter

Alena je 55-ročná pani žijúca v Senici. Narodila sa v Hurbanove, ale teraz cestovala z Piešťan, pretože pracovala s deťmi, učila ich ako kresliť. Alena má psa a dve mačky a ilustruje knihy.

Alena is a 55 year old woman living in Senica . She was born in Hurbanovo but was traveling from Piestany today because she has been working with children, teaching them how to draw. Alena has one dog and two cats, her job is illustrating books.

Terezka

Na vlakovej stanici sme stretli kamarátky Luciu a Terezu. Lucia má 21-rokov a Tereza má 23. Pochádzajú z Trnavy a tiež tam aj cestujú. Ich vlak meškal 25 minút.

We met friends Lucy and Tereza at the train station. Lucy is 21years old and Tereza is 22 years old. They‘ re from Trnava and they are travelling to Trnava. Their train was 25minutes late.

Betka

Toto je  24-rocna Katka. Pochádza z Dechtic. A teraz čaká na autobus do Dechtíc.

This is 24 years old Katka. She is from Dechtice. And she is waiting for the bus to Dechtice.
